Graduate Program

Degrees:
The MFA program in creative writing at Minnesota State Mankato serves exceptionally talented graduate students from around the country—and even the world—developing their work in the genres of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Candidates typically spend three years completing their coursework, their workshops, and their book-length theses. Along the way, on campus and off, they have the opportunity to grow within a rich and active community of writers, in activities such as the Good Thunder Reading Series and the Writers Bloc Open Reading Series.
