Fall Dance Concert

Thursday, December 1, 2022
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Ted Paul Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts

Artistic Directors: Julie Kerr-Berry and Daniel Stark

This year, we invite you to join us at the Dance Concerts as part of your season subscription. Witness the artistry and dedication of the dance faculty, guest artists, and students through original choreography and the culmination of an entire semester's worth of work. Multiple dance styles will be presented that range from contemporary modern, to ballet, to urban dance.

The Fall Dance Concert will be extra special as it will also be presented in tandem with the dedication of the dance studio where dance pioneer Florence Cobb taught for decades. As a Black women and professor in the late 1960s, she planted the first dance seeds, while navigating racial and gender politics at this pivotal time in Civil Rights history. Florence continued that struggle while on campus and once she retired. A work will be created and performed by students to honor her history and legacy.

This production runs Dec. 1-3, 2022. View tickets below for specific performance times.

Tickets are available online or through the University Box Office
