Shelley Wong is the author of As She Appears (YesYes Books), winner of the Pamet River Prize, longlisted for the 2022 National Book Award, and a finalist for the 2023 Lambda Literary Award. She lives in San Francisco. Her poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Best American Poetry, Kenyon Review, New England Review, and The New Republic.She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and fellowships and residencies from Kundiman, MacDowell, Vermont Studio Center, I-Park Foundation, Fire Island National Seashore, and SPACE. In 2022, she received an individual artist grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission in support of her second book project.
