Kevin Brockmeier profile imageKevin Brockmeier has published nine books of (mostly) fiction, including, most recently, a collection of very short stories called The Ghost Variations: One Hundred Stories. His work has been translated into eighteen languages and has appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, McSweeney's, The Best American Short Stories, and the O. Henry Prize Stories anthology. He has received the Borders Original Voices Award, three O. Henry Awards (one, a first prize), the PEN USA Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and an NEA Grant. He teaches frequently at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and he lives in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was raised.
