Congratulations to our Fall 2023 Commencement Speaker, Ulises Valdez
Congratulations to the College of Humanities and Social Science's Fall 2023 Commencement speaker, Ulises Valdez. He is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and a minor in Biology. On campus, Ulises enjoyed connecting with students, faculty, and staff alike hearing their stories and sharing his story. However, his internships allowed him to be a mentor to the first-year students through the Mav Success program. This allowed him to share his experiences with the student so they may attain their success.
After graduation he will focus on raising his daughter Araceli; the growth of his business, Trinity Tree Services; and continuing in his non-profit position at 2nd Opportunity, as well as faith-based missionary outreach programs—all to return to academia to pursue a degree or master’s in plant science.
