Students Participate in ACDA Regional Conference at St. Olaf College
The Dance Program participated in the American College Dance Association (ACDA) North-Central regional conference at St. Olaf College on March 23-26. Twenty amazing students, from Dance, Theatre, and Music, performed, danced in classes, and attended performances at the conference. One faculty dance and two student dances were selected to represent Minnesota State Mankato at ACDA, which demonstrated Minnesota State Mankato's excellence and leadership as one of the top dance programs in the region.
Professor Yukina Sato's dance was selected by judges to be featured in the final gala concert, the highest award given out. Prof. Sato also taught a class that was well-received and enjoyed by the participants. Also, two graduate students: Joseph Svihel and Parisha Rajbhandari taught classes to share their research and movement practice at the ACDA, which demonstrated the strength of the one and only master's program in Dance in Minnesota.
