Art & Design Professor awarded with 2025 Project Space Grant
Professor Liz Miller was awarded a $10,000 2025 Project Space Grant from Kolman & Reeb Gallery in Minneapolis. The grant will allow her to complete and ambitious new body of work, culminating in an exhibition at the gallery in 2026 titled Objects of Beauty: Archive. The project repurposes discarded items from ditches, thrift stores, and garage sales into visually dynamic, wall-based pieces.
With the support of this grant, Miller is expanding her artistic focus, moving from large-scale sculptural installations to more intimate, small-scale fiber works. Each piece, measuring approximately 2’ x 2’ or smaller, is designed to stand alone or become part of a broader narrative when displayed together. This shift highlights the collectible potential of her creations and invites viewers to engage with the intricate details of each work.
Liz's Project Space exhibition will be hsoted by Koleman and Reeb Gallery Jan. 11 through Feb. 28, 2026.
