I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and grew up in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. I spent most of my childhood in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin and have always loved the streams, rivers, and bluffs of that area. Studying archeology allows me to understand how native peoples through time have interacted with the same places I love. It also allows me the great opportunity to work alongside Native American descendant communities to tell the stories of their ancestors that are so often forgotten. I am fortunate to be able to use my expertise alongside Tribal Historic Preservation Offices and tribal community members to relocate and protect burials in Minnesota from destruction by using non-destructive geophysical techniques. I have experience conducting geophysical surveys using electrical resistivity imaging, magnetic field gradiometry, and thermal imaging. I am also a part 107 licensed UAS pilot with over five years of experience collecting visual and thermal imagery and creating aerial mosaics using photogrammetry. I have extensive GIS mapping and modeling experience including lidar analysis, archeological predictive modeling, landscape reconstruction, and legacy data management.
I am a licensed archeological principal investigator and project manager in the state of Minnesota and work with local, county, state, and tribal governments to conduct archeological surveys. See services below for a list of available services. Please email me for more information.
