About Becky
I grew up as a tom-boy in southern Minnesota playing sports, fishing, and spending any extra time outdoors or at the lake. I am a first-generation college student who chose to attend Mankato State University to play golf but was then recruited to the volleyball team. I have spent most of my career working in the non-profit sector, which lead to my position now working for my alma mater. I have been with my husband for 32 years (married 15) and have three energetic boys who play on 9 different sporting teams between them.
For Fun
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is “every time you try something new and your hands get a little sweaty, you get butterflies in your stomach, know that you are going to learn something new and embrace it.”
The most inspiring part of my job is learning more about the backgrounds and stories of our students. They have inspiring dreams which motivate me to do what I can to help them accomplish them.
The most important thing I learned in college is resourcefulness. We can’t all be great at everything but if you can network and/or are able to find an answer, you can be successful at almost anything.
