Kofi Danso received his B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has a MSW (Social and Economic Development and Research) and a MPA with a specialization in Global Public Policy from George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota respectively. He is currently completing his doctoral education in Social Work at the University of Minnesota.
Kofi’s previous direct practice experiences include credit counseling with low income families and mental health case management. He also worked for the Center for Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis and the Council on Social Work Education. His current research interest includes social capital and the health trajectory of immigrants and non-immigrants, health disparities among racial and ethnicity groups, neighborhood health effect, poverty and international social work and social development.
