Academic Biography
Sarah joined the faculty in 2013. She coordinates the distinctive college teaching emphasis program in which students get real world college classroom teaching experience. She is a passionate teacher who enjoys introducing undergraduates to sociology in her general education courses as well as mentoring graduate students in teaching. Her research focuses primarily on issues related to teaching and learning sociology. She serves on the Council for the American Sociological Association's Section on Teaching and Learning and on the Board of Directors for Sociologists of Minnesota.
