Biography:
Steven Smith is a lighting designer and technical theater educator at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 1999. He received his MFA in Technical Direction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since leaving graduate school he has served as lighting designer for over 200 productions, technical director for 60 productions, and served as resident scene designer with Torchlight Theatrics for three years. He is a former member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. When Steven is not sitting in the dark programming light cues, he enjoys spending time with his wife Christina and daughters Aria and Cadence.
