The student should set-up a capstone committee after completing 16 credits of coursework.
Committee composition should include one graduate faculty member from the Department of English and one graduate faculty member from the Department of Communication Studies.
If a student plans to do an English Capstone, they will need to select an advisor from the English Department and a committee member from the Communication Studies Department and vice-versa if they decide to do a Communication Studies Capstone.
Once the advisor and the committee are in place, the student must submit a Change of Advisor/Committee Form to the Graduate Studies Coordinator of the Department of Communication Studies.
If a student plans to do a Communication Studies capstone, a request for permission to enroll in CMST 650-Capstone Prospectus should be sent to the Graduate Studies Coordinator of the Department of Communication Studies. The request should be sent only after consulting the advisor about capstone options.
The student should submit an Application for Graduation Form to the Graduate Studies Coordinator of the Department of Communication Studies the semester they intend to graduate.
Once the capstone committee has approved the capstone paper, and the required coursework has been completed, the student should submit a Recommendation for Awarding the Degree Form to the Graduate Studies Coordinator of the Department of Communication Studies.
