Social Studies Students Attend Colonial Williamsburg's Teachers Institute

August 01, 2023 |

Social Studies Education majors Jack Baumbach and Abbey Botko were selected to attend the 2023 Colonial Williamsburg's Teachers Institute. The institute is a national program for 7th-12th grade professional teachers and has a highly competitive application process. Minnesota State University, Mankato is the only university in the nation that is allowed to send pre-service teachers and has done so since 2016.

Jack and Abbey have also been invited to present what they learned at the institute to educators at Minnesota History Center's Conference "History Fest," marking the first time college students have been invited to present their own session at the conference.
