Biography:
Originally from St. Paul, MN, White earned a B.A. in Speech Communication and English Writing from Concordia College, a M.A. in Communication from Kansas State University and a Ph.D. in Communication from Arizona State University. In addition to teaching, she spent the first 25 years of her academic career coaching college level competitive speech and debate. White’s primary areas of scholarly interest are Performance Studies, Feminist Theory, Forensic Pedagogy and Identity Development. She has been an active volunteer with the Mankato YWCA since 2015 and also serves as Promoting Respect Workshop Facilitator with the Greater Mankato Diversity Council.
