Biography
Ellen is an artist, illustrator, and designer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received an MFA in Interactive Graphic Design from The University of Minnesota, where she explored the relationships between technology, aesthetics, and design. She is currently a professional designer and an associate professor of graphic design at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She teaches classes at MNSU on design technology, emphasizing techniques for creativity and idea generation. The foundation of her creative practice focuses on the joyful and vibrant side of design, modularity, and technological exploration. Her illustration and design clients include The Star Tribune, PAPYRUS, Minnesota United Football Club, Minneapolis Parks and Recreation, The American Geophysical Union, and The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota.
