The undergraduate English Education programs prepare students to teach in middle or high school English language arts classrooms. The graduate program builds the students’ expertise to meet credentialing requirements for teaching college level courses in composition and literature.
Students are prepared to teach English and Speech/Communication in grades 5-12. Students complete courses from English, Communication Studies, and Education on lesson, course, and program preparation.
English Education offers secondary English teachers the opportunity to enrich their knowledge of English and to develop knowledge in other areas. This is a 32-credit program, entirely online, with courses offered during the summer and during the school year.
