Scholarships and Field Study Awards:

Scholarships help defray the costs of education and living expenses.

Field study awards help cover expenses to participate in individual or collaborative research, which may or may not involve field work (e.g., workshops/trainings, laboratory analysis fees, sample collection and processing expenses, supplies, equipment, geospatial data, software, travel (mileage, per diem, lodging), etc.).

Before applying for a field study award, you must consult with a faculty advisor in the Department of Geography to develop an approved budget.
