The Interdisciplinary Studies degree is designed to give students an opportunity to create their own programs and earn an undergraduate degree.
Interested in multiple majors, or can’t quite find the right one? Our Interdisciplinary Studies program allows students to individualize a degree pathway with the help of a faculty advisor. Together student and advisor create a plan of study that meets both academic and personal goals.
At MSU, Interdisciplinary Studies is designed to give motivated and self-directed students an opportunity to create their own program of study. To design a degree plan that is original and forward-thinking, students can select up to three different academic areas from which to choose classes. Interdisciplinary Studies pairs well with study abroad experiences, internships, and certificate programs—all of which help prepare graduates for their dream careers.
