Lambda Pi Eta
Lambda Pi Eta is the official honor society of the National Communication Association and a Recognized Student Organization (RSO) at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The purposes of Lambda Pi Eta are: (a) to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies; (b) to stimulate interest in the field of communication; (c) to promote and encourage professional development among communication majors; (d) to provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication.
Members of Lambda Pi Eta wear scarlet and white honor cords at graduation to exhibit superior scholarship and leadership potential.
If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible to join Lambda Pi Eta!
- A registered student in good standing,
- Have completed 60 credits,
- Have completed 12 credits in Communication Studies,
- Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, and
- Have a 3.25 GPA in Communication Studies
If you are interested in joining Lambda Pi Eta, complete the application for membership and submit an unoffical transcript (or DARS report) and a one-time membership fee of $40. For more information, contact Anne Kerber, Lambda Pi Eta Faculty Advisor.
