Scholarships

New first year and transfer students may be eligible for scholarships from Minnesota State University, Mankato! Prospective students may view additional scholarship opportunities at Minnesota State Mankato by submitting a General Application through Minnesota State Mankato's Scholarship Finder tool.

Financial Assistance

Most Minnesota State Mankato students depend on federal, state and/or private funding assistance to finance their college education. We are committed to providing valuable information about financial aid programs and processes to ensure each student has access to the maximum available funds. The financial services specialists at the Campus Hub are available to answer questions and connect students with additional advising assistance if needed.

Department of Government Scholarships

Masters of Urban Planning (MAUP) and Masters of Public Administration and Community Management (MPACM) students can apply for:
  1. Graduate Assistantships (Up to 9-credit tuition waiver and $10,000 annual stipend). 
  2. The Robert Barret Scholarship (Up to $6,000 for the academic year)
  3. URSI Leadership Scholarship (Up to $5,000 for the academic year)

URSI Leadership Fund

The Urban and Regional Studies Institute (URSI) Leadership Scholarship, established by the URSI Leadership Council, provides funding for students who demonstrate the potential to become tomorrow’s leaders in urban planning and city management.  We need your support because students need your support.
