Locations

Courses are offered at three facilities: Shakopee, Faribault and Waseca. Minnesota State Mankato Faculty members go into classrooms within the facilities to offer courses for incarcerated students. 

Requirements for participating faculty:

• Attend a brief training at the correctional facility to be made aware of the rules within the facility and to attain an authorized entry badge. The Waseca facility also collects fingerprints for all people attaining authorized entry.
• Undergo a background check completed by the correctional facility. Having a criminal offense on your record DOES NOT mean that you cannot participate. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
