Percussion

The Machine Percussion has been created as a part of the Maverick Machine program to push the envelope of collegiate marching percussion in the state of Minnesota, including battery percussion (snares, tenors, bass, cymbals) and a front ensemble (mallet percussion, guitar, electronics, keyboard). Using a background in drum and bugle corps mixed with contemporary show-style drumming the Machine Drumline will be unlike any other collegiate drumline in the state. We welcome students who have performed with summer marching programs and who are interested in performing in the winter drumline circuit. The Machine is a perfect way to transition from one activity to the next while keeping your chops in shape.

The Maverick Machine percussion section is a highly selective section and open only by auditions which take places each spring.  For more information please fill out the application form OR contact the Director of Athletic Bands.
